A Journey Awaits in Melbourne for International Students

When I communicated with my family and friends I would be studying at Melbourne University, Australia, they all people inquired same: "Why I select university of Melbourne for study?" I took Melbourne because it’s eye-catching and has a strong emphasis on art and culture. Melbourne is graded the most civilized city every year and I wanted to discover the facts behind this ranking myself. I know that I will miss my family and friends, but the experience that I will get will hopefully be meaningful.

When I firstly arrived in Australia, the travel from the airport made me very uncertain. I did not see all the beauty that everyone quoted about Australia. The houses looked worn out and unkempt. Moreover, entire buildings appeared to have the similar architecture and no individual appeal existed.

My prospects had not been met and I was feeling depressed. I contributed in a program for International students called Welcome Week and they directed us around the city in Australia. After the tour, I was amazed because I really got to see the splendor in Melbourne.

While studying abroad, I seemed various sceneries and nature impacts in Melbourne. It would make my stay very pleasant because I have always wanted to see a kangaroo for several years. I also hope to see the Eureka tower, ride the old steam train, and see a koala, attempt to surf, purchase my first soft drink in Australia, absorb the Australian pronunciation as well as the dialect words, travel outdoor of Melbourne, and visit the fairy penguins and beach. I am equipped to discover the different specs Australia has to offer.

I just arrived at Melbourne University for Welcome Week, a 4 day program intended at engaging study abroad and international students into the Australian culture through community activities and field trips. I flew from Lahore to Islamabad and then to Melbourne. Through-out this weekly program, I faith to meet numerous new people and get to know more about Melbourne very closely.
