University of Management and Technology and HEC National Digital Library program organized a workshop on preparing papers for academic publishing on February 26th and 27th, 2014. The workshop, which was held at UMT campus, Lahore, was attended by researchers, educationists and students.

Caroline Kerbyson, Trainer and Manager Journals, Cambridge University Press addressed the delegates and participants as the resource person. She discussed the emerging trends in academic publishing, ideal opportunities for taking up and looking forward to new tasks around the wide-ranging contents and concepts. She added that objective research should focus more to minimize the loopholes of academic publishing.

Earlier, Dr Abdul Rashid Kausar, Professor of knowledge management and Director, Institute of Applied Science (IAS) UMT, welcomed the delegates, distinguished guests and participants on behalf of Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad, Rector UMT.  

Dr. Khalid Rasheed, Associate Professor, School of Social Sciences and Humanities UMT, Dr. Munawar Anees, Dean School of Advance Studies UMT, Muhammad Rafeeq Awan, Chief Library Officer and Ms Syeda Tamknat, Project Head, National Digital Library Project HEC also shared their thoughts and views. Souvenirs and certificates were also presented to the distinguished guests and participants.
