Coverage Of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship

These Brunei Darussalam Scholarships for Pakistan will provide the following benefits to the Pakistani students:

• Full exemption from tuition fees.

• Economy class air ticket from a Brunei university to the student's home country and back.

• A Monthly allowance of BND $500 will be provided.

• Meal allowance of BND $150 every month.

• Book allowance of BND $600 (Annually).

• Accommodation at the residential college of chosen university.

• Baggage allowance upon program completion: BND $250 for students from ASEAN region countries, and BND $500 for countries outside the ASEAN region.

• Comprehensive health insurance coverage till the end of scholarship (However, it is advised that recipient should get extra insurance before coming to Brunei and keep it for the whole scholarship period. This extra insurance would be paid for by the recipient)

Brunei Darussalam Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

• For undergraduate and diploma programs, candidate’s age should not exceed 25 years when the course begins.

• For postgraduate master's programs, applicant’s age should not be over 35 years when the program starts.

• Proficiency in English is necessary with a Credit 6 at GCE 'O' Level Examination, Grade 'C' in IGCSE English (as a second language), an IELTS score of 6.0, or a TOEFL minimum score of 550.

• The scholarship primarily targets international students studying in Brunei for the first time. Brunei Permanent Residents, and international students currently studying or previously studied in Brunei tertiary institutions are not eligible for this scholarship.

Application Process For Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 

• To apply, candidates are required to fill in the online BDGS Application Form.

• Make your first and second choices of your desired programs and Brunei universities and enter your Email.

• Candidates applying to Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) must also complete the university’s online application form separately.

• Then provide all the regarding your previous qualifications and experiences (if any), fill out your personal information and upload the scanned copies of all requested documents.

• Also submit the reference letters from your two referees.

• After reviewing your application, submit it within the deadline. The last date to apply for Brunei Darussalam Scholarship is 15th February.

• Applicants may be required to appear for an interview and to sit a written examination to assess the applicant’s proficiency in the English/ Malay/ Arabic Language (if required). Both interview and written examination dates and time will be determined by the institutions offering the programs.

• The Government of Brunei reserves the right to reject any scholarship applications. The decision on the selection of candidates will be final. Any arguments or enquiries regarding the decision will not be entertained.

Documents Required For Brunei Scholarship

• ​Certified copies of candidate’s academic qualifications and other supporting documents i.e. certificates, testimonials, transcripts etc.

• If candidate’s documents are not in English language then attested English translations of those supporting documents must be submitted.

• Certified true copies of candidate’s Passport and Birth Certificate.

• Dully filled and signed reference letters from two referees. (C1 and C2)

Terms and Conditions Of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship

• This scholarship cannot be held together with any other scholarship, fellowship, grant, or loan without prior approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

• If the recipient is found holding another scholarship, fellowship, grant, or loan without prior written consent, this scholarship may be terminated immediately.

• Scholarship recipients are not encouraged to bring family members along for the duration of the Scholarship. No spouse or child allowances will be provided, and accommodation won't be arranged for accompanying family members.

• Recipients are prohibited from taking any paid employment or working at any country's representative mission in Brunei Darussalam during the scholarship.

• Scholarship recipients are required to follow all scholarship's rules and regulations, follow the rules of their University/Polytechnic, abide by all the laws of Brunei Darussalam, refrain from engaging in political activities and respect Brunei Darussalam's customs, culture, and religion.

• Candidates are also required to undergo health screening in Brunei Darussalam if required by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

• Upon finishing the program, scholarship recipients must return to Pakistan immediately.
