Admissions

This is the time to apply for admission in Italy as applications are in process for 2022.

Eligibility Criteria For MBBS Admission

To take admission in Italian medical universities, students have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria

  • Must have minimum 60% marks in intermediate
  • Minimum age must be 17 and maximum eligible age is 25 years
  • Must be HIV negative
  • Have a valid passport
  • IELTS (does not require at time of application but compulsory when applying for visa with minimum 6 bands)
  • IMAT (International Medical Admission Test)

Documents Required For Application

Students have to submit the online application through university portal and submit all the required documents including

  • Educational transcripts (10th and 12th grades)
  • 2 recommendation letters from previously studied institute
  • CV
  • Passport (validity 3-4 years)
  • Motivation letter (with information, why select this university, why want to pursue MBBS from Italy
  • Bank statement

Application Process

There are 2 steps students have to follow for admission

Step-I: Apply to the University of Interest  

  • Go to the university portal
  • Pay the application fee (10- 50 Euro)
  • Upload all the required documents
  • Submit online application

Step II: International Medical Admission Test (IMAT)

It is a MCQs based test which contains 60 MCQs and carry 90 total marks

Registration starts: June/ July

Taken by:  British council Islamabad, Pakistan

Registration Fee: 130 Euro

Time: 100 minutes

Negative Marking: Deduction of 0.4 marks for each wrong answer

Passing Marks: 50

Syllabus: Test has four sections including

  • General knowledge: 22 MCQs
  • Biology: 18 MCQs
  • Chemistry: 12 MCQs
  • Physics & Mathematics: 08 MCQs

After IMAT test go for visa process.

Intakes For MBBS

Intakes start in September and proper classes start from October. Applications are open from March to June for students who want to pursue MBBS in Italy. IMAT test taken in July and its registration starts from June. Till then student have to apply for admission letter. 

Visa

After getting admission letter from the university student have to pass IMAT and IELTS exam for visa processing.
