The 'Frontiers of Life Sciences' International Undergraduate Summer School 2025 at Westlake University is a great chance for students to come together for two weeks of learning about the latest in life science research.

You'll get to learn from top professors from well-known universities. We’re looking for students with strong academic records and leadership skills because we want to inspire the next generation of leaders in life sciences.

Program Features

• Conduct Laboratory Experiments - Throughout the program, students can carry out hands-on lab experiments and connect with our Principal Investigators and researchers in the great facilities at Westlake University.
• Learn Cutting-edge Techniques - Students will pick up modern research methods from well-known professors while doing hands-on lab experiments. They'll get to work on a mini research project and really get the hang of key biological research techniques and tools. These activities will also help them understand how the research process works.
• Gain Leadership & Networking Skills - Students will learn leadership and networking skills with other people in their area. They'll also get a chance to talk directly with top scientists in life sciences during lectures and discussions.
• Experience Westlake and Hangzhou - Check out Chinese culture by visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites and some of the best scenic spots in the region.

Eligibility Criteria

If you're an undergraduate student currently studying at a university, this program might be for you. It's specifically for those who are in their junior or senior years and are majoring in biology or something closely related to life sciences. And hey, you should be comfortable with English too!
