Eligibility Criteria

  • All ISTA-supported research fields will be eligible.
  • To be considered for the fellowship, you need to either already have a PhD or an equivalent degree, or you should be on track to finish one by the start date of the fellowship, which is no later than June 15, 2026. A fellowship contract will not be awarded until a copy of the diploma or proof of successful defense is submitted.
  • Researchers who were at ISTA before September 1, 2025 can't apply.
