Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the SINGA scholarship, Pakistani citizens must complete the following requirements:
- International Graduate: This program is open to all international graduates who are passionate about research and have achieved exceptional academic outcomes. SINGA is primarily intended for overseas students studying for the first time in Singapore.
- Academic Requirements: Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and strong academic records. A Master's degree is not necessarily required, however having one can help your application. Students in their final year of a Bachelor's degree are also able to apply, as long as they finish their degree before the Ph.D. program begins.
- English Language Proficiency: Ability to write and speak English is required. While IELTS/TOEFL/GRE scores are not necessarily required during the original application process, certain colleges or programs may seek them later as part of their admission requirements. During the interview, your English proficiency can be checked.
- Academic Referees: You need to have solid recommendations from academic referees. They will submit two reports online straight to SINGA.
- Research Interest: It’s really important to have a strong interest in research in Science and Engineering.
- No Age Limit: There's usually no age limit for SINGA applicants. While it mainly targets younger folks, people with relevant research experience who are older can also apply.
How to Apply
- Find Research Projects: Search the official SINGA website for projects and supervisors who share your interests. You can select up to three options.
