Scholarship Details

Eligibility Criteria

The applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be a privately supported overseas student (not getting any other major grants).\
• Must be presently enrolled or plan to enroll at a Japanese university in October 2025 or April 2026.
• Applicants must apply through their university and get a control number from the International Student Office or Student Support Division.
• Must submit the relevant documentation, including:
  • Academic transcripts
  • Curriculum Vitae(CV)
  • Study or research plan
  • At least one letter of recommendation.
  • Doctoral students must present a supervisor’s endorsement.
• All application procedures are in Japanese, therefore you must have solid command of the language.

Scholarship Benefits

• This is a fully funded scholarship offering.
  •  ¥180,000 monthly for undergraduate students
  • Graduate students (Master's and PhD) receive ¥200,000 per month.
• Coverage of tuition fees
• Funding for academic conferences and research-related expenses
