What Is the Senior Health Research Scholarship?
The University of Auckland is offering a scholarship for people who've got at least three years of work experience in health. This scholarship is for those looking to pursue a doctorate in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences or the Liggins Institute.

What Does It Cover?
The Senior Health Research Scholarship offers great financial and academic support to help you concentrate on your research. Here’s what you get:
- An annual stipend of up to NZD $40,590 (tax-free)
- Full coverage of mandatory doctoral tuition fees
- Student Services Fee included
- Health insurance for eligible international students
- Up to 36 months of funding if you're full-time, or 72 months if part-time
- Ability to take a break for up to 12 months during your study
Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants need to:
- Be eligible for domestic fees, which means you should be a New Zealand or Australian citizen/resident, or meet certain criteria as an international student.
- Should have a minimum of three years of experience working in the health field.
- Be applying for, or currently enrolled in, a PhD or DMedSc program at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences or the Liggins Institute.
- Not already have a doctoral degree.

The scholarship will be awarded for a PhD degree in any subject offered by the university
Criteria:
Applicants meet the eligibility standards set by the China Scholarship Council to apply for and receive one of its scholarships. Refer to the official website of the China Scholarship Council for more information.
Applicants must have admission into the PhD program at the University of Otago.
In the case of applicants for a doctoral scholarship, confirmation of the scholarship is dependent on the approval of their application for admission to the relevant doctoral program and completion of the enrolment procedure.

Manaaki New Zealand Scholarship
Eligible:
To be eligible for a full New Zealand Scholarship, you must be at least 18 years old when you begin your scholarship. This implies that if you are 17 years old when you apply, you must wait until your 18th birthday to begin your scholarship in semester one. Samoan scholars may begin their scholarship at the age of 17 years old.
Applicants have no upper age limit. This implies that if you are 18 or older, you are eligible to apply. Applicants under the age of 40 are favored for New Zealand Scholarships for university or tertiary students.
Criteria:
The Scholarships are open to all full-time New Zealand Universities.
A Selection Committee will assess applications and make a judgment on whether or not to award the Scholarship.
A total IELTS score of 6.5 with no bands lower than 6.0
A TOEFL internet-based test score of 90 and a writing score of 21
PTE Academic score of 58 total, with no communicative skills, score lower than 50
A total score of 176 in Cambridge Academic English (advanced), with no bands lower than 169.
