The scholarship will be awarded to an Undergraduate, Postgraduate (Taught), or Postgraduate (Research) in any subject offered by the university.
They have a minimum GPA-equivalency of B+ in the qualification used to gain entrance to the University of Waikato.
Students are not currently enrolled at the University of Waikato in any undergraduate or postgraduate program and have not paid fees at the time of application.

The purpose of the Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship is to support high achieving new undergraduate international students to study at Victoria University of Wellington in 2023.
Admission Requirements:
Students must meet the university requirements for a postgraduate degree.
Language Requirement:
Students must verify their English proficiency by completing their English proficiency requirements.
Funding Available:
The level of support given to individual students is at the discretion of Director R&E, APMs or Director of Māori and Pacific success, i.e. the total amount that has been allocated for the scholarships could go to one student or be split between students.
The student can opt for the scholarship payment towards the student’s fees for the semester immediately after the Scholarship is awarded. Any scholarship funds remaining after fee payment, for a given student, will be deposited to the student’s allocated bank account
Selection considerations
You will automatically be considered for this scholarship when you apply for admission into an undergraduate degree to study in semester 1 (February) or semester 2 (July) 2024.

Be an international student
Be new to Massey, and intending to enrol, full time, in their first 120 credits of an undergraduate degree in 2024
Have studied at a New Zealand High School
