Fellowship Details

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the 2026 Forrest Postdoctoral Fellowship, you need to:

• Have your PhD finished on or after January 1, 2023, or be set to complete it by December 31, 2025.
• Be committed to working with others across different fields and sharing your research.
• Have research experience at various institutions.

This fellowship is available to candidates from all fields and countries.

Fellowship Benefits

Successful applicants will get:

• Salary: AUD $108,362 a year, plus 17% superannuation.
• Accommodation Allowance: AUD $25,116 a year (2025, taxable).
• Research and Travel Allowance: A single payment of AUD $12,000 for research costs, such as traveling abroad.
• Relocation Support: Economy flight to Perth and help with moving for those coming from other states or countries.
• Residency: Housing at Forrest Hall, a place designed to create a lively research community.
