Netherlands is a country of choice for many Pakistani students because of studying there is not as much expensive as in USA, Canada, and UK. The government sponsors Dutch education system make it stress-free for international students to pay for their tuition fee and living expenses in Netherlands.
Maastricht University is a most demanding international university in Netherlands and growing continuously with more than 18,000 international students there. The Maastricht University also offers scholarships for national and international students to support them financially.
UM Holland-High Potential scholarship is a fully funded scholarship program which provide funds of amount € 30,000/ year to cover student’s tuition fee and monthly living expenses. 24 international students who got admission at UM for one or two year master degree program can apply for Holland-High Potential scholarship program. UM High Potential scholarship is highly competitive and selects more talented students from all over the world.
Holland-high Potential Scholarship is a highly competitive scholarship program so its acceptance is only 2%.
Students can apply for Holland-High Potential scholarship for all study programs offered by the following faculties
Faculty of arts and social sciences
Faculty of Law
Faculty of Health, Life sciences, and Medicine
Faculty of Science and Engineering
Faculty of Psychology and Neurosciences
School of Business and Economics
Non-European citizens, means Pakistani students can apply for this scholarship program
Applicant must not be a dual national from EU/EEA country
Must have an admission letter from UM for one or two year master’s degree program
Who have already participated in any degree program in the Netherlands are not eligible to apply
Age must not be more than 35 years
Selection is totally based on the student’s academic scores and transcripts, UM gives preference to applicants who are among top 5% of 2023-2024 scholarship
For one year master’s degree program: 13 months
For two year master’s degree program: 25 months

Register for any one or two year master program at Maastricht University
Submit a complete application at official website
After getting a student ID number submit an online scholarship application form
A completed scholarship application form
A copy of your passport or national identification card
A CV or resume
Official transcripts of your previous academic qualifications
A statement of motivation explaining why you are applying for the scholarship and how it will benefit your studies and future career
Two letters of recommendation from academic referees
A copy of your acceptance letter from Maastricht University, confirming that you have been accepted onto a degree program at the university
Proof of English language proficiency (if English is not your first language)

The selection procedure for the Maastricht University High Potential Scholarship will vary depending on the specific scholarship program you are applying for. However, in general, the selection process will involve reviewing the applications and supporting documents submitted by all eligible candidates, and selecting those who demonstrate the strongest academic merit and potential.
1st February 2023: UM international desk will check all received applications.
February 2023: Scholarship applications will be forwarded to UM respective faculties.
March 2023: Applications final checking will be done.
April 2023: Selection committee will inform to all candidates for their application status.
May 2023: Selected and rejected applicants status will be updated.
Student will sign and send back the award letter to UM selection desk to accept the scholarship.
