Apply For Chief Minister Merit Scholarships (CMMS)/ PhD Foreign Scholarship 2022

The Government of Punjab has launched PhD foreign scholarship program under the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund company. This program provide great opportunity to male and female students based on their eligibility to pursue PhD degree at top 50 QS (subject wise) ranked universities. Scholarship program mainly focuses the outstanding students of Punjab.

Details About Scholarship

Scholarship awards are allocated disciple wise as 80% awards are for science studies and 20% are reserved for social science, humanities and arts. CMMS scholarship award is distributed geographically like 90% scholarships are awarded to Punjab and 10% have been allocated for the other federating units of Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who want to pursue PhD degree from foreign universities must fulfill the following criteria

• All Pakistani national male and females are eligible to apply
• Applicant must have a valid admission letter from one of the Top 50 universities (QS world rankings)
• Not less than 60% marks throughout the academic career
• Provision of proof that monthly income not be more 200,000 PKR (including self, spouse and parents)
• Age not be more than 35 years at the time of application
• Applicant have not availed any foreign scholarship in the past
• Must take the scholarship in the year for which it is offered (not extend to next year)
• Existing, regular faculty members of public sector are not eligible to apply for PhD foreign scholarship

Documents Required To Apply For CMMS Scholarship

Following documents must be attached with application form

• Copy of valid admission offer for 2022 intake
• Attested copy of CNIC
• Copy of Passport
• Attested copy of all educational transcripts
• CV/ Resume
• Copy of synopsis or Research proposal
• Income affidavit on legal paper
• Copy of last paid utility bills
• Attested copy of domicile
• Copy of previous month’s salary slip (self, guardian, parents, and spouse)
• Three passport size photographs
• Any supporting document demonstrate in application form
