Are you an activist or community leader working for justice and equality? The JASS Global Movement Builders’ School 2025 is looking for committed social justice organizers from all over the globe to join a fully funded four-day program in South Africa from October 30 to November 2, 2025.

This is a great chance to connect with about 50 movement leaders—activists, educators, artists, and organizers—all working towards creating fairer and more inclusive futures in their communities.

Objective of the JASS Global Movement Builders School

  • Look at what's happening right now and how history plays into it, especially how power and politics are changing things, and what that means for us.
  • Think about the big changes we want to see and figure out how we can make that happen.
  • Understand what it means to have a “movement mindset” and see how our work fits into the bigger picture of social change efforts.
  • Improve our strategic thinking so we can deal with tough situations better.
  • Network with other organizers and change-makers globally.

Eligibility Criteria

This program really fits people who:

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in organizing, advocacy, or social movement work.
  • Are in a leadership role in a community group, NGO, network, or coalition.
  • Care about creating a more feminist, fair, and decolonial world.
  • Appreciate diverse perspectives and want to work together across different backgrounds.
  • Are dedicated to using what they learn in real-life situations and ongoing efforts for justice.

What the Program Covers

The program is fully covered for those chosen to participate, which includes:

  • Round-trip international flights
  • Local transport
  • Housing and meals
  • All costs related to the program

If you or your organization can help, JASS welcomes any partial contributions to keep the program going for future participants.
