Benefits of the Helmut Veith Scholarship

Selected scholars will receive:

  • €7,000 per year for up to two years
  • Full tuition fee waiver at TU Wien
  • An opportunity to study in one of Europe’s most vibrant cities, Vienna
  • Guidance and mentorship from leading professors and research groups at TU Wien

Note: While generous, the stipend may not cover all living expenses in Vienna, so students should plan additional financial resources if needed.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Helmut Veith Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be female with a strong academic background
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields
  • Show strong mathematical and technical skills in one or more of the following areas:
    • Logic in Computer Science
    • Formal Methods and Verification
    • Algorithms and Complexity Theory
    • Foundations of Artificial Intelligence
    • Computer Security
  • Provide proof of English language proficiency
  • Apply to one of the following English-taught master’s programs at TU Wien:
    • Logic & Computation
    • Business Informatics
    • Computer Engineering
    • Data Science
    • Media & Human-Centered Computing
    • Software Engineering & Internet Computing
  • Maintain good academic progress during the scholarship (minimum 25 ECTS per semester and a grade average of at most 1.5 on the Austrian scale)
