The 30th AFS Youth Assembly will going to be conduct from August 8–10, 2025, in New York City. This event is all about helping young leaders aged 18–35 gain the skills, connections, and platforms they need to make a positive impact. This year’s theme is “Defying Adversity: Empowering Young Global Citizens to Lead,” and it focuses on four main topics:

• Youth Peace, Policy, and Action: Dealing with Global Instability
• Green Skills for Jobs: Creating a Sustainable Society
• Youth Mental Health in a Crazy World: Issues and Solutions
• Supporting Women’s Inclusion and Leadership

Scholarship Details

Eligibility Criteria

• Delegates need to be between 18 and 35 years old. 
• They should have some experience in leadership, whether it's from school or their community. 
• A genuine interest in global issues, sustainable development, and youth topics is important. 
• Basic to intermediate English skills are required.

Program Highlights

Delegates will take part in a bunch of activities, such as:

• Keynote talks from leading experts around the world
• Thematic discussions and hands-on workshops
• Opportunity  to connect with people from more than 100 countries
• Participating in the AFS Award for Young Global Citizens, where you can win $10,000.
• Visits to international organizations

• Regular price: $450 - Available from January 1, 2025, to May 31, 2025
