What’s Included

  • Monthly stipend: €4,000 (pre-tax), which includes living expenses, insurance, and rent.

Eligibility Criteria

  • PhD is necessary in humanities, cultural studies, or social sciences.
  • Open to foreign researchers (including Germans who work abroad).
  • Strong academic track record, including publications.
  • A clear and innovative research project related to KWI concepts.
  • You must be available for a 6-month full-time stay in Essen, Germany.
  • Excellent English proficiency is necessary (German is optional).
