MBZUAI Research Internship Program 2025 | Fully Funded AI Internship in UAE

Would you like a chance to advance your research career? Then, participate in the Undergraduate Research Internship Program (UGRIP), which provides an excellent opportunity to engage with some of the finest minds in artificial intelligence. UGRIP Summer 2025 will run from June 9 to July 4, 2025.
Over the course of four weeks at our Abu Dhabi campus, you will collaborate with other high-achieving students from the UAE and around the world on research projects, expand your professional network, and receive mentorship and guidance on future study options from one of our top-tier graduate students or faculty. The internship includes flights, insurance, lodging, and a stipend, as well as a variety of cultural and social activities including tours to downtown Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Requirements of the MBZUAI Internship

• The internship is open to all Nationals.
• Undergraduate students in STEM-related fields with at least three years of study and a CGPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher.
• These students must be in their final semester of study (fall or later) after participating in the UGRIP.
• A letter from the University Registrar verifying your enrollment status, admission date, program duration, and estimated graduation date.
• A full transcript of all registered courses from the first to the current semester, including course names, grades, and credit hours. (Signed and stamped).
• Colored copy of passport (valid for at least a year)
• Statement of Purpose explaining
  • Motivation for applying.
  • Personal and academic background, and how it relates to the MBZUAI internship.
  • Outstanding achievements (e.g., awards, recognition, etc.)
  • Goals of a prospective UGRIP participant
  • Preferred Career Path and Plans

Language Requirements 

A valid certificate for any of the following:

• TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 90
• IELTS Academic with a minimum score of 6.5
• EmSAT English with a minimum score of 1550
