Are you a young writer who loves storytelling, history, or world events? The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition (QCEC) 2025 is a prestigious opportunity for you to showcase your writing skills! This is the oldest international writing contest for schools, and it’s a perfect way to let youth voices be heard worldwide. This year’s theme is “Our Commonwealth Journey,” so it’s all about thinking about our future and how we can share it together.
About the Competition
The Royal Commonwealth Society has been putting on the QCEC since 1883, giving young people a chance to share their thoughts. It's all about helping them look into world issues, appreciate different cultures, and express themselves through writing.
Every year, thousands of students from the 56 Commonwealth countries send in their stories, poems, essays, and thoughts, making sure their voices are heard on the important issues of the day.
