Eligibility Criteria

To be considered, applicants must meet the following minimal requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, linguistics, or a similar technical subject.
• Experience in one or more of the following research areas:
  • Natural Language Processing
  • Large Language Models (LLM)
  • Deep and Machine Learning
  • Computer Vision
  • Software Engineering
  • Algorithmic Optimization
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (such as Python, C++, or Java).

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

• Previous research experience in an academic or industrial setting.
• Publications in peer-reviewed journals or high-level conferences.

• Experience collaborating in interdisciplinary research teams.

Responsibilities

Interns will work on fundamental scientific challenges, including but not limited to:

• Creating and prototyping new machine learning models and algorithms.
• Performing thorough experimental analysis and validation.
• Sharing discoveries and contributing to Google's intellectual community.
• Working with cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between research and product development.
