About RIFS

RIFS started out back in 2009 as the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, known as IASS for short. This coming January 2023, it’s set to become a part of the GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences. The institute is well-known for its hands-on research methodologies, collaborating with universities, governments, communities, and companies to address global sustainability concerns.
