Speakers to discuss assisted dying at university-hosted debate

A DEBATE is due to be held in the city on the issue of assisted dying.

The Bristol University is hosting the event, which is being organised and chaired by the Bristol Debating Union (BDU) in collaboration with the Students for Life society. It will focus on the issue of legalising assisted dying, a matter due to be put before parliament again next month.

Speakers will include Dr Richard Scheffer and Ann Leedham from the campaign group Dignity in Dying speaking in favour of a change to the law.
