Program Overview

The Southbound Elite Training Program is part of Taiwan's New Southbound Policy aimed at building stronger connections with countries in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Pacific. It offers a mix of technical education, language lessons, and cultural exchange, making it a unique opportunity for those chosen to join.

• Students will get training in these areas:
• Mandarin language classes
• Semiconductor and IC design
• Artificial intelligence and machine learning
• Visits to Taiwanese companies and cultural tours

Program Details

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this program, you need to:

• Be enrolled in a bachelor's program (sophomore, junior, or senior year).
• Be a citizen of a New Southbound Country, which includes:
  • South Asian countries like Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh
  • Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand
  • Australia and New Zealand
• Not be a citizen of Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Macau.
• Not be getting any other financial support from the Taiwanese government.

Financial Benefits

Those selected for this top-tier training program will receive:

• Round-trip flight support costs NTD 15,000 (about USD 480).
• Monthly living stipend: NTD 10,000 (about. USD 320).
• Monthly housing support costs NTD 15,000 (about USD 480).
• Health insurance costs NTD 3,300.
• All tuition and field trip fees are covered.
