Are you a writer looking for a calm place to get those creative juices flowing? The UNESCO Wonju City of Literature Residency 2025 wants writers from all over the world to spend two months in South Korea. This residency is fully funded and located in Wonju, a city known for its culture. It gives writers the space, time, and help needed to really focus on their work.
About the Residency
The Wonju Literature Residency, a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, shows the city's dedication to worldwide literary exchange. The program is scheduled to take place at the Toji Cultural Centre, a serene location in Gangwon Province.

This program is for writers from UNESCO Cities of Literature. It gives them a chance to work on new projects, meet other writers from around the world, and see what the South Korean writing community is like.

Who Can Apply?
We're looking for writers and literary people who:
- Are part of a UNESCO City of Literature.
- Speak English well (at least B2 level).
- Want to share ideas and get involved in literary activities.
Residency Benefits
The residency includes a great support system, so artists can focus on creating:
