Why Study In South Korea?

South Korea is a beautiful and exhilarating country but unfortunately, it is not a very popular destination for students.  Korean educational institutes are not the same as others. The Korean youth not only study their subjects in the universities but they learn different courses after their university classes to improve their skills.

Normally educational expenses are quite high in any university. But studying in Korea is not going to cost you high. The accommodations, food, and transportation cost are very cheap in Korea. The only highest expense you should be worried about in studying in Korea is your plane ticket.

Korean Government Scholarship Program

The main purpose of this scholarship is to provide an opportunity for international students to conduct advanced studies in undergraduate and graduate programs at well-known institutions in Korea. The government of Korea is providing around 170 person’s opportunities to get undergraduate courses and 700 persons will get a scholarship for graduate courses. The students who get this scholarship are required to take Korean language training courses for at least one year.

Qualifications

  • The applicant's parents should be citizens of their country of origin.

  • Candidates should not hold Korean citizenship.

  • Candidates should be healthy with no medical issues he faces, both mentally and physically, to stay in a foreign country for a long time.

  • Must be under 25 years of age at the date of entrance. (Undergraduate)

  • Must be under 40 years of age at the date of entrance. (Graduate)

  • Have finished all previous studies before the date of arrival. (Undergraduate)

  • Have a grade point average (G.P.A.) of more than 80% from the last educational institution attended.

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree or a Master's degree by the date of arrival. (Graduate)

  • However, a former or current KGSP scholar who holds an overall grade of 90% or above can reapply to this program once either through the embassy or university track.
