Candidates will be considered based on their scholarship application, course application, academic achievement and overall grade profile.
Successful applicants will be provisionally awarded by email and will be asked to accept the scholarship by a given deadline and must also pay the course deposit of £3,000 within 4 weeks of being awarded. If the applicant fails to accept the scholarship award and make the deposit payment by the given deadlines, the scholarship will be removed and will be awarded to another applicant.

SCHOOL OF SOCIAL AND POLITICAL SCIENCES PHD SCHOLARSHIPS
The scholarships are open to anyone who, by September 2024, will hold an honours degree in the social sciences. A Master’s degree (or overseas equivalent) may be an advantage but not essential.
Applicants must have a minimum of an upper second-class honours undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent), which should include evidence of at least some performance at first-class level (or overseas equivalent).
The scholarships are automatically awarded once you have applied for the course and will be part of the offer letter sent to you if your application is successful.
The discount applies to:
the MSc in Actuarial Science programme; and
the first year of the MSc in Actuarial Science and Management programme.
The scholarships available are:
International Actuarial Impact Award (for the international students, £5K reduction)
UK Actuaries of the Future Award (for the UK students, 50% fee reduction)
Benefits
The “Think Big About Law and Justice” scholarship offers funding towards tuition fees for international postgraduate students pursuing law studies. One scholarship worth £6,500 and another worth £13,000 are available, both of which must be used exclusively for covering the costs of an LLM qualification.

Successful applicants will be contacted on or before Friday 24 May 2024.
Unsuccessful applicants will be notified shortly after.
SHU Transform Together Scholarship's Benefits
The Pakistani students who has qualified for the scholarship will receive a 50 percent discount on postgraduate whole course fee.
The Pakistani students who have received the scholarship will be benefited by receive a half amount fee waiver for each year of their undergraduate course.
The Pakistani students will keep on receiving the scholarship if their academic excellence is at par with the requirements.
