The goal of these projects should be to support indigenous and non-indigenous communities in their efforts to improve air quality, environmental health, or environmental sustainability in British Columbia (BC).
Eligible Countries:
All nationalities.
Acceptable Course or Subjects:
The scholarship will be awarded for masters and PhD programs on research projects that are addressing environmental health issues and promote environmental sustainability through cooperative community initiatives.
Criteria:
The project must have well-defined objectives and research methodologies as well as tangible project outcomes that provide direct and ethically sound benefits to the community.
Preference will be given to significant and innovative projects
Preference will be given to projects that directly engage the community and where strong community support and buy-in are demonstrated.

At McMaster Engineering, we award over $1 million in scholarships yearly to outstanding Faculty of Engineering applicants.
There are four dedicated scholarships for international students this year, and all international scholarships will be assessed on a rolling basis. Only one application is required to be considered for all eligible Faculty of Engineering entrance scholarships

Benefits:
- Recognition in STLHE and 3M Canada social media, and partnering media, e.g., Maclean’s and University Affairs
- Certificate and recognition at the annual Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) conference in June
- Letter from STLHE President and 3M Canada to their identified institutional leader and to the individual awarded
- STLHE membership for two years
- Conference registration, travel to the conference, and accommodations
- $2,000 to be spent at the discretion of the recipient.
