Eligible Fields of Study

DARA encourages bold, interdisciplinary, and curiosity-driven research across the following domains:

• Experimental and Theoretical Research in Health and Medicine

No specific research theme is required—applicants are free to propose novel topics aligned with their interests.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the DARA Fellowship:

• Applicants should have finished (or be near completion of) a Master's program that allows them to enroll in a PhD program in Denmark.
• Applicants must identify a primary advisor at a research institution in Denmark.
• You must submit a comprehensive application using the official DARA portal by the deadline.

Fellowship Benefits

Each selected DARA fellow receives:

• Salary: DKK 1,575,000, which is consistent with standard pay for PhD positions in Denmark.
• Research Project Grant: DKK 750,000
• Tuition Fees: DKK 240,000 (for three years)
• Total Support: Up to DKK 2,565,000 (~USD 360,000)
