Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the NIE PhD Scholarship in 2025, you'll need to meet these requirements:
- Hold at least an upper second-class Bachelor's degree and a relevant Master's degree.
- Apply for full-time PhD studies at NIE.
- Show a solid academic history and dedication to research in education.
- Not currently have any paid job, fellowship, or scholarship.
- This scholarship does not require a service bond.
Value of the Scholarship
- Yearly Tuition covered
- Monthly Payments:
- Singapore Citizen - $3,500 (STEM) / $3,200 (SSH)
- Permanent Resident - $3,100 (STEM) / $2,800 (SSH)
- International Student - $2,700 (STEM) / $2,500 (SSH)
- Other Perks:
- Singapore Citizens - Central Provident Fund (CPF) contributions at the employer's rate
- Up to SGD 500 extra per month for those who pass the Ph.D. Qualifying Exam (certain rules apply)
