 University of Bonn International Fellowship 2026

The Bonn International Fellowships invite excellent researchers from all disciplines to the University of Bonn for short stays (up to 12 days). Researchers from any field can apply. 

Criteria:

The fellowship is open to Post-doctoral scholars and experienced faculty who teach or do research at a university or research institute.

Must have a Strong international reputation in their field of research.

Researchers must be invited by a host from the University of Bonn.

The Univeristy of Bonn is one of the oldest and famous public research universities located in Bonn, Germany. The Idea of the Bonn International Fellowships is to involve the fellows in Bonn’s academic life as much as possible and open Future collaboration projects

The University of Augsburg is a renowned institution known for its interdisciplinary approach to education and research located in Bavaria, Germany. 

Criteria:

Be a degree-seeking international student at the University of Augsburg.

Demonstrate outstanding commitment to supporting the international context of the university (e.g., participation in events such as orientation programs or country evenings organized by the International Office).

Show good academic performance in their current studies.

The program provides valuable experience in a world-class scientific environment, allowing participants to contribute to research projects and learn about the ESO organization. There is no application fee. 

Astronomy Knowledge: Interns should possess a broad knowledge and interest in basic astronomy, including topics like:

Stargazing

How telescopes work

Key astronomical objects

Language Skills: Good knowledge of both English and German is required.

University of Bonn SDG Fellowship 2026 in Germany. It is one of the Major Fellowship Programs in Germany for International candidates. The Duration of the Bonn SDG Fellowship 2026 is 3 to 12 Months. The Objective of the SDG Fellowship is to carry out Research on Sustainable Development Goals-related topics at the University of Bonn.

The scholarship holders receive a place at the Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR Berlin), or University of Potsdam. The study programme is limited to only 1 semester. An internship is an important part of the IES programme and is designed to provide international work experience and to develop personal and professional skills.

The International Excellence Scholarship Programme (IES) is a scholarship programme that enables ambitious students of all fields of study from Eastern and Southeastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia with above-average grades to spend a semester abroad in Berlin.
