About the CAS-ANSO Scholarship Program

The CAS-ANSO Scholarship (Degree Program) is a fully funded initiative launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).

It provides financial and academic support to young international scientists to pursue Master’s and Doctoral studies in China’s top research environments.

Scholarship Benefits

Successful candidates receive comprehensive funding throughout their study period, including:

  • Full Tuition Waiver
  • Monthly Stipend:
    • Master’s — RMB 6,000/month
    • PhD — RMB 7,000/month
  • Free Accommodation (on-campus)

Note: Travel subsidies are not available to students already residing in China.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the CAS-ANSO Scholarship 2026, applicants must:

  • Be non-Chinese citizens (including Pakistani applicants).
  • Be born on or after
    • 1 Jan 1996 (for Master’s)
    • 1 Jan 1991 (for PhD).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in English or Chinese.
  • Not be currently pursuing a Master’s/PhD degree in China.
  • Apply through only one host institution (USTC or UCAS — not both).

Pakistani students are fully eligible to apply under all categories.
