Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Commonwealth Professional Fellowship in 2026, applicants must:

  • You must be a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth country and currently reside there.
  • Applicants should possess a minimum of five years of relevant full-time work experience (or the part-time equivalent) by the fellowship's commencement. 
  • Be currently employed in an organization that will allow them to put their newfound abilities into action.
  • Not have held a Commonwealth Professional Fellowship in the previous five years.
  • This program aims to foster professional growth, distinguishing it from academic research or studies. 
  • Be ready to begin and complete the fellowship within the timeframe specified by the host organization.

Fellowship Benefits

This is a completely financed opportunity, and chosen fellows will receive:

  • Travel costs for a round trip between the fellow's home country and the UK.
  • Monthly stipend:
  • Visa fee reimbursement.
  • Travel stipend up to £2,000 for study visits, conferences, or travel within the UK linked to the fellowship.
  • Disability support (if applicable and based on evaluation)
  • Administrative assistance with visa applications through ACU (Association of Commonwealth Universities).
