This program provides a three-month professional opportunity in Budapest, Hungary.
About the Program
The HIIA Future Leaders Program is an international fellowship held in person. It is designed for early-career individuals and recent graduates who have interests in global issues, diplomacy, and policy research. Those chosen will become part of HIIA’s active research and policy community, collaborating with foreign policy specialists, diplomats, and public officials.
The fall 2025 session, from September 15 to December 15, 2025, allows participants to work on actual research projects, build skills, and gain international exposure.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Future Leaders Program, candidates need to meet these criteria:
- Be younger than 30 years old when applying.
- Have at least a Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, History, Economics, Philosophy, or a similar area.
- Possess good English skills (no test needed).
- Care about foreign policy, diplomacy, or global research.
Fellowship Benefits
International fellows selected for the program will receive:
- Round-trip airfare to Hungary
- Monthly accommodation support: 200,000 HUF (~€480)
