The Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) International Writers’ Workshop (IWW) 2026 invites published writers to apply for a fully funded residency in Hong Kong in March 2026. Writers, including those from Pakistan, are encouraged to apply to engage with a literary community in Asia.
About the Program
Since 2004, the HKBU International Writers’ Workshop has served as a meeting place for creative people. Each year, the program chooses about four international writers for a month-long stay at HKBU. The IWW Literary Festival ends the residency. At the festival, writers share new work that relates to the year’s theme. For 2026, the theme is “Here and There”, which looks at identity, place, and change.
