University of Chicago is located in the city Chicago of state Illinois in United States of America. It is ranked 5th best higher educational institute of its country. University of Chicago is a public research university established in 1890 and founded by John D. Rockefeller . It is organized into five academic research divisions and seven professional schools.

University of Chicago is home to 5,971 undergraduate students and 9,394 graduate, professional and other students with a full time faculty of 2,350. It currently has over 169,000 alumni worldwide. As every big institute has a motto, University of Chicago has also came up with a unique slogan.

University of Chicago Campus

The main campus of the University of Chicago comprises 217 acres of land. It is also named among the beautiful university campuses of United States. This campus has two portions, the northern and southern, separated by a large park known as Midway Plaisance. Student Life at Chicago

There over 400 clubs and organizations in University of Chicago known as Recognized Student Organizations. These clubs are composed of academic clubs and teams, cultural and religious groups and some interest that are common among students. These organizations form the University of Chicago Scavenger Hunt.

It includes academic teams, sports club, arts groups etc. and they are all funded by The University of Chicago Student Government. This students government is also formed by graduate and undergraduate students elected to represent members. This means that you can be one too.

There are 15 fraternities and 7 sororities at the University of Chicago and one co-ed community service fraternity known as Alpha Phi Omega. There are 7 student residence hall buildings and there are also small communities within a hall called House. Every student must become part of one of these communities. There are 38 houses with an average of 70 students. .

Numerous exhibitions, festivals and programs are arranged throughout the year. Some of these most famous events include:

How to Get Admission

There are over 21% international students currently enrolled at University of Chicago. Application process to get admission here is very simple. A good thing about admission here is that there is no minimum CGPA or percentage criteria. They say your GPA doesn’t define you.
