IAPS AI Policy Fellowship 2025 in USA – Fully Funded | Apply Now

Applications are now open for the IAPS AI Policy Fellowship 2025 in the USA. This is a fully funded, three-month program that takes place in Washington, DC, but you can also do it remotely if you prefer. All selected fellows will need to travel to DC for a two-week residency from September 1 to 12, 2025. After that, you can either continue the fellowship in person in DC or work remotely. The program runs from September 1 to November 21, 2025. This fellowship encourages folks from various backgrounds to collaborate on AI policy projects with experts, aiming to create practical rules for both the positive and negative aspects of AI. Program Details

Fellowship Focus Areas

Fellows will tackle real-life AI policy issues in areas like:

• The impact of AI on national security
• How the government buys and uses AI
• AI models related to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear concerns
• Controls on exports and assessments
• The role of AI in global politics and hardware
• Policy questions specific to different regions (like the U.S., U.K., and E.U.)

Financial Benefits

Fellows will get:

• Senior Fellows: $22,000 stipend
• Junior Fellows: $15,000 stipend

Who Should Apply?
