Fellowship Overview
The KWI International Fellowship supports talented researchers early in their careers (within six years of earning their PhD) from any country. Fellows will have a chance to work on their own research while participating in an active academic setting that encourages sharing ideas across different fields and with the public.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must have already finished their PhDs.
- We typically consider applicants with up to six years of postdoctoral experience. We may extend this limit for those who have taken parental or care leave.
- This opportunity is available to individuals of any nationality.
- Applicants need to speak English well. Knowledge of German is not necessary.
- At the application time, candidates should not live or work in Germany, unless they are German citizens working outside of Germany.
