Scholarship may be like a taboo in Pakistan. But it is not the case in foreign countries. Most developed countries have special government, private or organizational scholarship schemes for students who require education but cannot afford it. These Schemes or programs don’t just work on a local level but have expanded themselves to an international level.

Each program or scheme has their own eligibility criteria. These scholarship grants vary from a small amount to full fee with all living expenses. For most of the scholarships you apply when you are admitted to a university and then using that university’s support you apply for one these scholarships. However, some scholarships schemes, after you have passed their eligibility test, even get you admission in one of their universities and with that they grant you financial support or scholarships. Following are some of Programs that offer scholarships for Pakistani students. Their value of scholarship, eligibility criteria and all registration method is explained below.

Germany Bourse – Deutschlandstipendium

The Deutschlandstipendium (German Stock Exchange) is a scholarship offered by private donors and by the German state.

VALUE/BENIFITS

€ -300 per month (150 € financed by the German state, € 150 by private donors), the amount is the same for all universities.

DURATION

The scholarship usually covers a period of at least 2 semesters and a maximum total duration of the studies. The university checks each year if the stock still meets the eligibility criteria of the award.

Master Scholarships Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF)

The Agence universitaire de la Francophonie awards grants of up to 10 months for master students who want to follow a part of their curriculum in an institution member of the AUF in a foreign country.

The Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) is a global network of 779 institutions of higher education and research.

VALUE / BENEFITS

DURATION

· As part of a master's program with capitalized credits: less than 6 months

· Program curriculum with non-compatible with the "master" credit accumulation system: one to two academic semesters (a maximum of 10 months, except in cases of examination postponed to September)

· The scholarships are not renewable.

Sciences Po Paris - Emile Boutmy level Master Scholarships

Sciences Po Paris offers discounted tuition with a scholarship of life for students in Master.

VALUE / BENEFITS

Master, Emile Boutmy Exchange may take several forms:

1. A registration purse € 10,000 per year for two years of Master, plus a lifetime purse € 6,000 per year.

2. A registration purse € 10,000 per year for two years of Master.

3. A scholarship inscription DE € 5,000 per year for two years of Master.

o double degree in Journalism Sciences Po / Columbia University

o double degree Sciences Po / Fudan University, specialty Europe / Asia in Global Affairs (only candidates of Chinese nationality)

o double degree Sciences Po / Peking University (only candidates of Chinese nationality)

March 20, for the fall.

SELECTION PROCESS

The admission jury decides on admission to the training program and requested a commission decides on the allocation of the grant.
