MDPI is calling for nominations for the 2025 Young Women in Engineering Award. This international award recognizes the achievements of female researchers who have made noteworthy contributions to engineering. The award intends to encourage diversity and scientific excellence by supporting emerging female leaders in both academic and industrial settings.
About the Award
The MDPI Young Women in Engineering Award aims to encourage female researchers at the start of their careers who have shown great work and new ideas in engineering research. Two winners will be picked based on their important work and their contribution to move the field forward.

Eligibility Criteria
- The nominee must identify as female.
- The nominee must have been awarded a Ph.D. degree after January 1, 2016.
- The nominee's activities must include engineering research.
- The nominee should be nominated by two senior scientists.
Award Benefits
Each winner will get:
- CHF 1000 in cash
- A certificate
- A voucher to waive the APC fee for one future submission to an MDPI engineering journal (valid for a year, and the submission is still subject to peer review)
