Studying abroad is an exciting dream for many, but it often comes with financial challenges. To ease this burden, the University of Hamburg (Universität Hamburg) offers Merit Scholarships (Leistungsstipendien) for international students who have proven their academic excellence and social commitment. These scholarships are designed to help students focus on their studies instead of financial worries.

If you’re an international student—whether from Pakistan, India, Africa, or anywhere else—this scholarship could be your key to thriving in Germany.

About the Merit Scholarship

The Merit Scholarship is one of the most popular funding options at Universität Hamburg. It supports international students who have shown excellent academic results and active involvement in social or intercultural projects.

The scholarship not only provides financial assistance but also motivates students to engage with the local and international community in Hamburg.
