UNESCO Youth Hackathon 2025 in Colombia | Fully Funded

What is the UNESCO Youth Hackathon?

The UNESCO Youth Hackathon is a global innovation challenge where young people aged 18 to 30 come together in teams of 3 to 6 members to develop solutions addressing urgent issues of the digital age.

The 2025 theme is:  
“Youth Leading the Way: Building Media and Information Literacy Solutions for Impact.”

This means participants are encouraged to create practical, youth-led initiatives that tackle challenges like:

• Misinformation and disinformation
• Artificial intelligence and ethics
• Online hate speech and cyber safety
• Media and information literacy in education
• Community-driven solutions for digital empowerment

Hackathon Details

Eligibility Criteria

The UNESCO Youth Hackathon is open to all countries, and yes, Pakistani youth are 100% eligible. The basic requirements are:

• Age: 18–30 years old
• Team Size: 3–6 members
• Submission: Proposal + Pitch video by the deadline

No prior experience is required, as mentoring support will be provided.
