Program Overview

The Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship is a five-month hybrid program that provides opportunities for early to mid-career individuals working in the climate and clean energy sectors. The participants will engage in:

• Two intensive, in-person residencies:
  • Opening Week at Yale University (February 16–20, 2026)
  • Closing Week in Paris (June 15-19, 2026).
• Virtual "Learning Journeys" are held every two weeks in between residency.
• Capstone projects that are team-based and address real-world climate concerns.
• Working with leading climate experts from Yale, the IEA, the OECD, and more.

Program Details

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, prospects should:

• Become a citizen and resident of a Global South country.
• Have 5-10 years of relevant professional experience in the climate, energy, or environmental sectors.
• Show strong leadership and commitment to climate action.
• Be proficient in English, both verbal and written.

Sectors covered: government, civic society, business, media, university, finance, and more.
