The Thomson Foundation's Young Journalist Award 2025, sponsored in collaboration with the UK Foreign Press Association (FPA), is now accepting nominations. This distinguished yearly award seeks to honor and amplify the voices of emerging journalists from developing countries who are making a difference through their work.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, candidates must:

• Be 30 years old or younger on November 24, 2025.
• Citizenship is required in a country with a gross national income per capita below $20,000.
• Applicants must submit three published or broadcast works in any format (print, audio, video, or multimedia).
• Provide a 200-word summary for each piece, outlining its background and impact.
• Please provide verbatim English translations if the work is not in English.
• Submit a verification letter from an editor, employer, or faculty member to certify the validity of the work.
• Describe any collaborative work involved.
