Hey there! Are you a young innovator between 15 and 30 with cool ideas for protecting our oceans? The Taiwan Ocean Conservation Administration (OCA) and the Global Environmental Education Partnership (GEEP) are tremendously excited to announce the Youth Innovation Challenge 2025. This is a global contest where you can bring your creative solutions to marine conservation and environmental education to life.

Contest Details

Why Participate?

This challenge is for young leaders everywhere to take on important marine environmental issues based on three main topics:

• Marine Biodiversity & Conservation: Suggest ways to protect and improve marine ecosystems.
• Marine Debris Reduction & Education: Come up with ideas to fight marine pollution and inform people about it.
• Public-Private Collaboration for Marine Protection: Create partnerships that help with marine conservation.

What’s at Stake?

Participants will have the chance to showcase their ideas on stages set up by GEEP and their partners, and the top three winners can look forward to some great rewards:

• Each winner will receive a cash prize of $1,000 USD.
• They'll also get an all-expenses-paid trip to Kaohsiung, Taiwan for the award ceremony happening on September 29–30, 2025.
• Global recognition as an emerging leader in environmental innovation.

Application Requirements

• A three-minute video proposal describing your idea.
• Written answers to critical questions.
• Additional supporting documentation is optional.
