Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this opportunity, you need to:
- Be enrolled in or have an offer for a postgraduate program (either taught or research) at the University of Kent.
- Be part of one of these academic schools:
- Kent Law School
- School of Arts and Architecture
- School of Humanities
- School of Psychology
- School of Social Sciences
- The Language Centre
- Durrell Institute of Conservation & Ecology (DICE)
- You should have good grades, like a First or 2:1 in your undergrad, or a Merit/Distinction in your Master’s.
- Be able to explain your research to people who aren't experts in the field.
- Present a solid reason for why your research should take place in the USA.
- Ideally, you shouldn't have lived or studied in the USA before.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
The scholarship offers up to £10,000 for each person, which can help with:
- Tuition fees
- Living expenses
- Travel and research costs in the U.S.
In some special situations, students might qualify for funding for a second year of research.
