Criteria:
Applicants must be international students who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
A first-year student who has earned a high school diploma and has never attended college (student may have taken dual enrollment or other college course offerings while enrolled in high school.)

The program is open for international students with a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and a minimum 18 ACT or 960 SAT score. Successful first-year students will receive a $3500 – $7000 award based on academic ability to support their undergraduate degree.

Admission Requirements:
High school credits are required as an incoming freshman:
4 English (including grammar, composition, and literature)
3 Social Studies (including US history)
4 Mathematics (three units must be Algebra I and higher)
Language Requirement:
All international applicants looking to enroll directly into an undergraduate program must demonstrate English proficiency in the following manner:
SAT ERW Score of at least 470 or
ACT English score of at least 15 and Reading score of at least 18 or
TOEFL iBT score of at least 60 or
IELTS band of at least 6.0 or

Scholarship for International Students
The Cascade International Student Scholarship is a merit-based award for students attending Southern Oregon University. The scholarship is for new undergraduate, graduate, and graduating SOU Intensive English Program students.
The award amounts vary from $1,000 to $9,000 per academic year and is a renewable scholarship.
Moso International Retention Scholarship
The retention scholarship is awarded after degree-seeking students complete 24 credit hours (finished after the first year).
Eligibility:
Must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA
Completed 24 credit hours at MSSU
Must live on campus
Awarded up to 6 semesters (Summers not included)
The Gates Millennium Scholarship Programme Provides:
Financial support for tuition fee
For living expenses students can ask for loans
Funding duration is for five years
Students have option to renew the scholarship award if their academic records are maintained and satisfactory progress has been ensured throughout the previous award
GMS also offer online support service without charging ay cost
How to Apply
The scholarship is directly applied to the student account after official documentation has been received.
For students living off-campus, the scholarship will be reduced by $2500 annually.
Important Notes
Beginning March 1, 2024, a $50 application fee (no waivers available) will be applicable.
Admitted students are required to pay a $500 commitment deposit, with $300 refundable upon proof of visa denial. The remaining $200 is retained as the i20 processing fee.
Post Scholarships
In addition to its participation in federal financial aid programs, Post University offers a number of institutional scholarships. Scholarship awards have no repayment obligation. Merit-based scholarships are renewable, provided students maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress as outlined in the university catalog. Scholarships are often included as part of a total financial aid package.
This Merit Scholarship is offered to full-time, incoming freshmen with a high school GPA of 3.00-3.49. Students who are awarded this scholarship and have a GPA of at least 3.2 are eligible to participate in the Honors Program and are encouraged to do so.
