Three PhD scholarships will be awarded to international and Australian national students interested in undertaking a PhD programme at the Faculty of Engineering at the Queensland University of Technology.

Admission Requirements:
The applicants must have a completed Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours or a master by Research in urban and regional planning, urban studies, local government studies, public policy, urban policy, human geography, sociology, information and technology management, and computer science or other related disciplines.
Language Requirement:
The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:

Selection criteria
Preference is given to Art History students in the Faculty of Arts, and due consideration is given to financial disadvantage. The recipient will be determined after considering the applicants' scholarship statement, proposed program of study, and access to other financial resources.
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
Be an honours student majoring in Art History in the Faculty of Arts; or,
Be a graduate coursework or research student undertaking Art History studies in the Faculty of Arts; and,
Be experiencing financial disadvantage.
Benefits
The scholarship offers a comprehensive funding package, including a living allowance of $32,192 per annum, indexed annually. For a PhD candidate, the living allowance scholarship is for 3.5 years, and the tuition fee scholarship is for 4 years. Additionally, scholarships include up to $1,500 relocation allowance and Overseas Student Health Cover at single rate for international candidates.
Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a full-time stipend of $33,826 per annum. The duration of this scholarship is for 3 years full-time with the possibility of up to two six-month extensions. Additionally, there will be no tuition fees for the duration of the PhD program.
Have first-class honours or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. social sciences, public health, urban design, epidemiology, environmental science, planning, geographic information systems)

The Scholarships are designed to support international travel to include attendance at an international conference at which a paper or poster is being presented.
.It is essential that applicants justify why support for travel or other learning and development is being sought, the likely benefits and a budget explanation for the level of funds requested.
