Eligibility Criteria
- Have completed a graduate degree in natural sciences (Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, and Physics), engineering, mathematics, computing, or one of the sub-disciplines.
- It is expected that they will complete all prerequisites for PhD conferral between May 15, 2025 and June 30, 2026.
- Able to begin their Fellowship in July 2026 or October 2026, available for virtual onboarding activities from April 2026 to July 2027, and in-person convening beginning October 2026.

University of Sydney AGRTP Scholarship 2026 in Australia
The scholarship is fully funded by the Australian Government, covering all expenses. Importantly, a separate application for the scholarship is not required. To be considered, you must submit your application for a research degree program before the scholarship application deadline and receive an offer from a supervisor.
Criteria:
The University of Sydney RTP Scholarship is open to all Nationals.
You can only apply for the RTP Scholarship if you have received an offer into a higher degree by research program.
Develop your research proposal and find a supervisor. Before you submit your application, you must first secure a supervisor.
A master’s degree is required to apply for a PhD in research.

Each year the Australian National University offers the University Research Scholarship to support high achieving HDR students who are conducting research, which aligns with the strategic directions of the University.
Eligibility
The award will be available each year to a prospective or continuing student who:is a domestic student or an international student enrolled in an accredited HDR course of study at the University has achieved a minimum of Honours (H1) or H1 equivalent in their prior studies
