Application Process
Northwood University accepts applications for undergraduate students for the Fall (August) and Spring (January) intakes only.
No applications are accepted for a Summer intake (May).
Postgraduate (DeVos Graduate School) applications are accepted for Fall, Spring, and Summer intakes, though summer courses may be dependent on enrollment.
Applications must be submitted no later than 60 days prior to the intake applied for.

Merit-based scholarships are renewable, provided students maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress as outlined in the university catalog. Scholarships are often included as part of a total financial aid package.
Scholarship for International Students
The Cascade International Student Scholarship is a merit-based award for students attending Southern Oregon University. The scholarship is for new undergraduate, graduate, and graduating SOU Intensive English Program students. The award amounts vary from $1,000 to $9,000 per academic year and is a renewable scholarship.
Merit Scholarships for First Year Students
SOU’s Office of Admissions automatically considers most first year students for merit-based scholarships upon admission through September 1st of the academic year.
