Eligibility Criteria
For the 2026 fellowship, candidates should meet these requirements:
- Citizenship in a Commonwealth country (like Pakistan) or refugee/British Protected Person status.
- Permanent residence in a qualifying country.
- Five years of full-time professional work (volunteer work excluded).
- Current employment with plans to return to the same employer after the fellowship.
- Applicants should not have received a Commonwealth Professional Fellowship in the five years before applying.
- Employment outside academic or research roles (except for those seeking administrative training relevant to academia).
- Availability to start the fellowship in February 2026 and participate for its entire duration.

Fellowship Benefits
The Commonwealth Professional Fellowship for 2026 is a fully funded program that provides:
- Round-trip air travel from your home country to the UK.
- Reimbursement for visa costs.
- A monthly living stipend of £2,104 (outside London) or £2,612 (within London).
- An arrival allowance of up to £1,230.
- Funding between £2,000 and £3,000 for short training courses, visits, or conferences.
